How can I use these keyword phrases for search engine optimization on my pages?

First of all, insert as many of these key phrases into your content as you can, without chopping it all up so that it doesn’t make any sense. (We’ve all clicked on a link before and gone to a page filled with useless garbage and ads, so you don’t want the same thing on your site.) You want your human visitors to get the info they came looking for, so they’ll trust you and come back when they’re looking for more information.
Next, make sure your META-TITLE tags are different for all of your pages. These should reflect whatever is in the main content of your page. Also very important are your META-DESCRIPTION tags, these should be either the first or most important paragraph of the content or a short general summary of the page content.
If possible, one or two of your key phrases should be able to be worked into these tags.
These tags are used by most search engines as not only the words at the top of your browser window (META-TITLE), but also the title (META-TITLE) and description (META-DESCRIPTION) which show up on the search engine results page. Even if you get your page to show up at the top in listings, your link may get skipped over if the description doesn’t tell the searcher that you have what they want to find.
You can find more info on optimizing your pages, without getting banned from the search engines, at this link.

Picking a topic and optimizing your website for that niche.

Okay, let’s say that you have a niche or you are still looking. You can research topics by using free search engine tools.
This will tell you what people are searching for and also help you set up your pages to get free traffic from the search engines by using exact phrases which people are typing in to search.
Overture.com’s keyword inventory tool used to be the go to tool for keyword research, but since they were bought by Yahoo they no longer offer this free service in the same form. (See Yahoo below in this article.)

Some other options are Google’s Adwords keyword tool,(it’s free to use), located at https://adwords.google.com/select/KeywordToolExternal?defaultView=2

or Submit Express’s keyword suggestion tool and traffic estimator at
http://keywords.submitexpress.com/

and Spacky.com monthly keyword search volume tool.

You can find some really good info on keyword research athttp://www.wordtracker.com/academy/ , this is Wordtracker.com’s Keyword Research Academy with articles by the top people in Internet.

Checking to see if anyone is using key phrases to look for information on your topic will give you added traffic if you can work some of those phrases into your content, meta tags and link descriptions.
Make a list of questions about your topic and terms or phrases which you would use to search and also list the same using synonyms for the words in your original list, because others might use different words than the ones you are using. Run these through the online tools mentioned and make a list of any additional phrases which show up.
Do a google search on each of the terms in your final list and see if you get anything with fifty or less results. These will be your most profitable phrases or terms to use.
Anything with less than 20 results may be worth investing in an Adwordsaccount, if you can get listings really cheap and can make sales from these listings.
Finally, make sure that you have your site listed using Google’s Sitemap tool, it’s free to use and tells the googlebot where all of the pages that you want indexed are at. Find info on it at http://www.google.com/support/webmasters/bin/answer.py?answer=34575&ctx=sibling ,
you will have to sign up for a free Google Account at
http://www.google.com/accounts/ManageAccount first if you don’t already have one, but it is free! You can access the sitemap tool from inside your account.

I mentioned Yahoo having a keyword research tool previously, but in order to get access to it you have to have a Yahoo Search Engine Marketing account, which requires a $30 dollar deposit for pay-per-click which you can budget however you want, but still you have to put up 30 bucks.
You can check it out here and sign up here. They also require a minimum bid per click of $0.10.

Saving the best for last, right-click and download this informative PDF ebook, “The Keyword Jackpot“, it’s free.

Seen a resale product you would like to offer on your website or in your newsletter or ezine?

Even if you plan on buying the product license and setting it up yourself, you can start making some sales immediately by joining an affiliate program if there is one offered.
Get your aff link and then set up a page to presell your affiliate link from, and use that page url in your advertisements. (Another good reason to have some kind of web hosting of your own.) Whenever you get your own sales site set up, just change the link on your presell page!
And if you don’t want to spend money on the product itself, you still have the aff page to sell from. (Most, but not all, sales offers have a free to join affiliate sales program.)

Don’t even think about doing it for the money!

Looking for a new niche to market to, or just starting out and need a place to start? Try to make it something that you will enjoy.
Pick one thing and get good at it.
When you have something to offer on a regular basis, and you’ve started to build a traffic base and an email list, the money will come as long as you focus on what you have become good at.
You can buy everthing that comes out, join so many programs that you can’t even remember which ones you are paying for, and go broke because you aren’t getting anywhere with any of them, but if you pick one thing and read everything you can find, test everthing you try, and sort out what works for you and what doesn’t, you can find success in that niche.
If you want to expand to other things this is OK, but you need to focus on one thing until you no longer need to invest all of your time on it before you should move to the next or you’ll never get anything done.
If you work at First: providing a useful informational resource, and Second: making money from your traffic, you will be much more satisfied with the results from your labors.

Keeping yourself motivated is hard work.

I decided to write about getting motivated because I have a hard time motivating myself, so why not write an article to myself?
Motivating yourself is an everyday job. You can’t just do it when you have nothing else to do. You must make it a part of your everyday routine.
No one can make you do anything but you. Even if you spend $5000 on a seminar you will forget the feeling of super motivation within 30 minutes after you leave. Am I right?
Motivating oneself does not come easy to most people. Sure you can get hyped up about something for a while, but then you get lazy and find something else that needs done and then your great project gets pushed to the side and forgotten about.
So, why not make motivating yourself a habit forming experience?
OK, if you don’t have any motivational problems you can just skip this article and go to the next one. But, for those of you who need help here is tip number one:

Tip #1: Develop good habits

Make a habit of doing something related to your e-biz such as writing a couple of sentences every day as part of an article. You will soon have an article ready to go in a few days. And the more you write, the easier and faster it gets.

By the way, articles are one of the best ways to get free traffic on the web. Even if you are using the article on your site or in a newsletter or ezine, you can also submit them to article directories. Maybe even change a couple of words or the title every five directories or so, and your content won’t appear to be duplicated everywhere! Put your name and web link at the bottom and, Voila! Quality backlinks to your site.
Or, if you already write well, it could be something else like submitting articles to other websites or article directories, or spend a set amount of time doing research each day.
The point is to do the same thing everyday and make yourself do it for at least 21 days in a row.
Why? This will force you to develop a habit, and the thing you are doing will become a natural part of your daily routine so that it won’t seem like it takes any time at all and then you can move on to adding another productive habit to your arsenal.

So, what are you waiting for? Get your calender out, mark off 21 days on it so you’ll have something to put checkmarks on and decide what you are going to use for your first new good habit!

Tip #2: Use visual aids to remind yourself

The calender is one example of this. You can also use post-it notes, or index cards to put motivational messages on or list the needs for the current project.
Put them where you can see them. It might look messy to someone who has other people do all the work, but I have sticky notes stuck all around the edges of my monitors and other places where I can see them when I look around my work area.

Sometimes I even look at them and get rid of
the ones I don’t need anymore! ;-)

And writing down your goals and breaking them down into smaller parts is proven to help with getting your goals accomplished!

Tip #3: Your attitude is important

Reminding yourself to have a positive outlook will make things go much more smoothly. We are responsible for the way we react to things in our lives and the way we act around other people.
Reacting in a positive way can make the difference between learning from a bad break and turning yourself into a failure by giving up the first time something doesn’t go your way.
Every new thing that you try will not work out right and it is OK to make mistakes. The way to benefit from things that don’t work out right is to keep track of what steps you followed the first time and the results. Then keep track of what changes you made and the results of these changes.

This way, you will learn from your mistakes and your triumphs.

You will get it right or decide that a particular tactic doesn’t work for you. Some things will work for you and some things work for others, but will never work for you.
When you have confidence that you can control your attitude and change things, your life and your business productivity will improve greatly.

Giving yourself positive reminders will improve the way you feel about yourself and improve your attitude. Write down some things such as “I will get (this part of the project) finished today” and “I will learn to do (this) today, so I can improve my website” and other positive activities and keep them where you can see them until you no longer need them.

Tip #4: Keep your personal problems seperate from your work

You can’t focus on your job if you are distracted by problems or issues with personal relationships or other personal problems, so when it’s time to work take a deep breath, clear those thoughts from your mind and focus on the job at hand.

Tip #5: Take a regular break

Especially important if you are working at the computer, make sure that you take regularly scheduled breaks from your work.
This is important to cut down on stress and tension. It will make you more productive, healthier, and help you stay focused on the bigger picture of your project.
Putting off break times by thinking “I’ll get this done in a couple more minutes and then I’ll take that break” simply means that you’ll never get that important down time to keep you relaxed and focused.
Every hour or two, depending on how long you can be comfortable at your desk, get up and stretch, walk around, do something to refresh your mind for ten minutes or so.
If you are lucky enough to work at your home, you can do some house work every couple of hours to break up the routine, or go outside and spend a few minutes at some small yardwork tasks every break period.
This can add up to getting a little at a time done on a project which you might normally have to take a whole day to do at one time.

Just remember to spend the necessary amount of time at your work.

Tip #6: Get some exercise

Concentration, typing and planning all make your muscles tighten up.
Remember, when it’s time for a break, get up and do something. Get up and stretch, do some carpal-tunnel exercises, walk around, DO SOMETHING!
Go outside and check the mail, get some sunlight, look out the window, take a look at the painting on the wall, RELAX!

Thanks for visiting the new home of my Weekend Freebies Newsletter.

Firstly, you won’t read anything about “getting rich quick” in this newsletter, only solid, proven techniques for producing income from the internet.

I want this website to be a resource for you, so that you can get good information. If you don’t have a use for something that I am selling here, then don’t buy it!

If you are new to Internet Marketing, I don’t want you to buy anything from anyone untill you understand what it is and have a concept of what will be required to use it.

Do a little research on things you don’t know about until you understand them better. Go to http://google.com and type in your topic with the word “articles” to find articles or, “your topic” plus “forums” to find discussion forums on your topic. Or you can use the “Suggest a Topic” link on this page to see a future article on your query!

Why get in a hurry and buy something that will just sit on your hard drive that you will never use? You can’t make any money from anything if you don’t actually do something with it. One of the biggest mistakes made by new online business entrepaneurs is that they see some hyped up ad, buy or join something and don’t have any plan on how to go about using it. And when the money doesn’t come real quick, they give up and try something else.

The best plan you can have is to pick a topic which interests you and learn as much as you can about the topic. Then you will have knowledge which will allow you to put together useful content for a website or blog. When you have a resource to offer, you can then come up with ways to monetize it.

If you do buy something from me, or anyone else, I want you to read the information and use it to your advantage.

Remember, you never, ever, have to buy anything from us to read our online newsletter, or to sign up and get our freebies for online marketers and webmasters.

You can even bookmark this page and read the newsletter without signing up for our free email list, but you won’t get the links to the freebies.

My original idea, back in 2000, was to start a resource site where the average person could learn to build their own web site, and with a little dedication and hard work they could build a traffic base and email list, and earn some extra money.

Over the years since then, I have put together a few websites, had some ups and downs, and kept the dream going.

Since we are beginning a new year, I’ve decided to combine some of my newsletters into this one, which will give you more info in one place and make things more efficient and enable me to get this thing out on a regular basis :o)

If you’ve been on one of my lists before, you’ll know that I don’t always get them out on a regular schedule, so I’m going to work on improving that.

I want this to be your all in one resource stop, and I am including links for feedback, suggestions for articles, etc. so that you can let me know what kind of information will help you with your online business journey.

That is how I will measure my own success, by helping you with your success.

I might not always have the answers, but perhaps we can learn together and if you find something useful here or errors, or you would like to comment on an article or give a testimonial about how certain information helped you, you can use the feedback form to let me know if I can do something to improve the content of this resource.

I will include some articles by other authors, so if you yourself would like to submit your own work for inclusion, use the article submission form.

No guarantees though. Depending on quality, relevance, and space available I will try to get your article in if it is useful to my other readers. Maybe some free traffic for you? :o)

And always, when I get a new issue out you get more freebies!
